Absolute beast of a snook off the jetty rocks this morning. Hit a white paddle tail on the outgoing tide right at sunrise. Had to fight him out of the rocks twice!

Pro tip for pier fishing: when the pompano run is on, use a Doc's Goofy jig tipped with a tiny piece of fresh shrimp. Cast upcurrent and let it bounce back to you. You'll feel the lightest tick — set the hook immediately.

Poured a new batch of 3/8 oz bucktail jigs for the snook run. White bucktail over a chartreuse head with a little flash. These things absolutely slay on the outgoing tide.

First pompano of the season! Used the Doc's Goofy jig with a small piece of shrimp. The bite was so subtle I almost missed it.
